A teacher is a very important person in our community. They are the one's who molds us into great citizens and taught us the knowledge that we should know. Without them, there will be no doctors, nurses, policeman or policewoman, engineers, electricians and a lot more. They are the hardworking people who spent most of their lives teaching so that we will be able to achieve our goals in life.
Such people should be honored and I consider them as my hero. Although they don't have super powers to save the lives of many people just like what we saw on movies, they helped us in a different way. Considering the great responsibility that they are carrying, they are able to do their part very well. It's not that easy to teach people especially those that are hard headed, but the teachers are the patient one's and they never get tired of teaching and sharing their knowledge. That's because teaching is their passion and it's already a great part of their lives.

My Hero Forever
"GO BATMAN!!" I yelled as I watched the movie Justice League. I was 8 years old at that time and I was very fond of watching cartoons everyday.Even now, I still watch super hero movies and I am still amazed by how the protagonists save the lives of people. But I came to asked myself, are there also people out there who can become heroes even though they don't have special powers or are able to save lives of many people? My mind answered YES!
Ordinary person can become a hero by many ways. It can also depend on why another person idolizes him/her. Maybe because that person did something great for him/her or for other people. Just like me, I also have someone I consider as my hero, and this person is my father. I know that being a parent is a great task and it gives a lot of responsibility and I salute my father for being able to play his role as the head in our family. Maybe you are wondering what made me think that my father is a hero for me. Well, let me share to you a short story about what happened to him 10 years ago and how it changed his life and ours.
It was a cold night when my father and his co-workers left our house after a simple dinner. They were to visit Tarlac for official business sine my father was the Admin. Manager of the company he is working with. We wished him for a safe trip after leaving us - my mother, me and my older sister. Thinking that something might happen to them during their trip was out of our minds. But as broad daylight begins to break, we were awakened by a chill and an uneasy feeling. Suddenly, my mother received a call stating that my father, together with his two co-workers met car accident. I was still very young at that time and my mind went wondering why is it that my mother is crying. Then she explained to me that my father met an accident and he got hurt so badly. The doctors said that it was a miracle that he survived. Nearly a year after the accident, we decided to continue living in Ilocos Sur were my grandparents are living. Lucky for us, we are able to live normally despite my father being handicapped. Even though he can no longer go to work, he thought of ways on how he can earn money for us. He fixes and programs laptop or computers. He also made a simple business making invitation cards together with my mother.
I really admire him for being a responsible and loving father to us. He never let us down and he is always there for us. He might be strict and sometimes hard to understand but all that he is thinking is for our safety. I am really lucky to have him as my father and he will forever be my hero.
