Essence of Christmas

          Every time I hear the word "CHRISTMAS" the first thing that comes into my mind is "LOVE". Images of a happy family eating and laughing together, kids going from house to house for caroling, different decorations like Christmas  lights and angels hanging inside and outside of every house and presents under a Christmas tree came flashing into my head. I just can't but smile.

          The true essence of Christmas is not just about receiving a gift or giving gifts to other or having lots of food for celebrating this day, its about sharing and giving love to one another. It is when God shows us his great love and its a time of joy, peace and great tidings.

Equal Rights, Equal Oppurtunities

          

                  All of us have rights that we should know. These rights helps us in our everyday life and can also help protect us in many ways. Equality is a weapon for those who are poor, bullied, outcast and being pushed in the shadows.

                   An example of this is when a friend of yours is being accused to have stolen a big amount of money from a rich businessman. Your friend didn’t really do it, but he knew that he doesn’t have any  chance of saving himself since he is dealing with a rich and powerful person. But in this kind of situations, there must be equal rights. The poor have the rights to defend their selves and must be treated the same as the other side. That will be the time that there is equality among each individual.

Saving Mother Earth

                        We are now in a modern world and technologies is now very common to us. Along with this modernization is the changes in our surroundings. Due to the bad habits of mankind like “kaingin” and burning of plastics and also with the smoke that comes out of the nuclear power plants and a lot more leads to the destruction of the Earth’s ozone layer and climate change.

                        Climate change is a serious case to us mankind because it can lead to the destruction of the Earth. The increasing hotness that we experience makes the icebergs in North and South Antarctica melts very fast, resulting to the increase of water level which can wipe out the low lands. We can still prevent further destruction of the Earth due to climate change by doing simple things. We can stop burning plastics and the forest trees and also lessen the thick smoke that comes out from cars. In this way, we can lessen the effect of climate change.

My Reflection

                   June, July, August, September and October, time really do fly so fast. Yesterday was just like the beginning of our Second Grading but now it has already come to an end, and as of this moment, my knowledge about our lessons in ICT has already upgraded!

                        I have again, learned many things during our subject ICT. Some of these are about Search Engine, ways in using it, the four main steps in using the search engine and a lot more. I also gained knowledge about the basic HTML, parts of a web browser, parts of a page address and levels of domain. But the lesson which I really put my focused on, was making our own HTML file by using the notepad and making used of HTML tags in making HTML document.

                        Although I get to learned this topics, I also encountered some problems. Like when I was about to make my HTML document on my work station but I can’t because someone is using it. It left me no choice but to do my work the next day. A s for our lessons, I really don’t know how to make an HTML document at my first try and because of my busy schedule and a lot of things to finish, I didn’t have much time to do my drafts and post them.

                        Lucky for me, even though I encountered this many problems on this grading period, I was still able to cope up with our lessons, in making my drafts and posting them and making HTML documents easily. When I got free time even though it was only a short break, I intend to do my draft, and as for posting those drafts on my blog, I do it before I sleep even though it’s already late in the evening. For the making of my HTML document, I got used to it and was able to make them faster than the first one.

                        Moving on, I will continue to study hard, read my lessons, listen during discussions and do my work properly. Hoping that for the next grading period I will be able to do a lot better that the last two grading periods.

Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence

                                ENGLISH, as we know, is our Universal Language. It is used all over the world and many people can understand it. Since it is widely used by people, knowing how to speak this language is very important.

              Learning how to speak this language is very easy, and there are a lot of ways know it. By simply speaking English while talking with your friends or other person, you can already practice your English speaking. English is very important especially to those who are from different countries and are planning to go abroad. It is very useful, if you are not aware of the language that the people around you or in that place is using, you can speak in English and surely they will understand you.

              Although we can say that other languages are also important, English is somewhat special. It is I think, a language that binds people from all over the world and without it, maybe the world wouldn’t be so united as it is today. This language has it’s importance in many ways and it is a must to know how to speak it so that wherever country or place you may go, English will always be there to deal with communication/speaking problems.
